4th Project

Time is really pressed to get the fourth project finished for this class. Hopefully, my group will be able to meet this weekend and get as much accomplished as possible because I will not be here during the week of finals...I have to move out of my apartment by May 1 (convienient, huh?)

The problem of my 4th problem is something that has affected everyone in my group--the parking situation at the WVU Rec Center. Right now the congestion is so bad, that one must plan on getting to the rec center about 45 minutes earlier than expected if taking a group class or meeting friends.

My group feels this is a problem because there is no real way to designate the parking area at the rec center just for people using the facilities. We plan to propose a method that would ensure that only those students using the facility will be able to park in the parking lot.

My roommate Courtney is a manager at the rec center, so I plan on interviewing her to ask her about what she knows about the current parking situation and if there have been any proposed ideas for improving the situation.

Graduation Trip

The main reason why I am even more upset about the financial aid stuff is because I was so happy this morning because I found out my lovely boyfriend is taking me to Disney World and Discovery Cove for my graduation and birthday presents. I am so very excited. WVU is evil for making me so upset/stressed/angry/worried/sad when I should just feel happy.

I hate WVU right now. I go to pay my graduation fee this morning, and the guy notices that there is an outstanding balance. I have a scholarship and have never had to pay anything to the school in four years, so I am confused. Turns out, this semester and last semester WVU awarded me too much money...which they went ahead and gave to me because they didn't realize it until April 1st or something. Now, I am supposed to pay the excess amount that they awarded me before I can graduate. I don't understand why it's my problem that they made the error. I was so tempted to tell the lovely group of college seniors touring the campus outside of the financial aid office that if they plan on coming here they should plan on getting robbed at some point, even if you only have 7 days of classes left.

Project 3

I am almost finished with Project 3! That makes me really excited because I will be able to mark something off of my ToDo list for the rest of the semester. I won't get too excited because I still have 20 more items on the list. I just love school right now.

I'm stressed out right now, financially, emotionally, and academically. I have so much to do before the end of the semester and not enough time do it in. I only have 9 more days of class left though. *yay* Ok, that's enough for now.

FAQ Page

On my FAQ page, I am going to tell my viewers that the purpose of my page is to give a little insight into my life through the eyes of my bedroom at WVU. On the site you will be able to view a little bit about my taste in style, my family, a few of my friends, and my dog.

The purpose of my site is to create a webpage that reflects my bedroom to fulfill the assignment requirements for English 303. It's goal is to create a website that is designed to reflect a space that I am familiar with--in this case, my bedroom. This site is expanded on and designed from the space that I wrote about in my first English 303 Project--My Bedroom.

For contact information, I will probably include Professor Baldwin's email address because I get enough spam as it is already and don't want to risk getting more by putting my email address on the site.

Cabin Fever

I am so ready for it to be spring break. 12 Weeks in school is far too long without a holiday--and Martin Luther King Day didn't count for me because I only had one Monday class then. Even though I have no special plans whatsoever for the break I am more than ready for it to be here. I need to get away from Morgantown for a little bit.

I was able to breakaway from Morgantown for a few days last week. I skipped my classes on Thursday and headed down to Charleston to watch my brothers in the state basketball tournament. My oldest brother, Mark, is the head coach for Logan and my little brother, Brantz, is the starting point guard. They ended up making it the the championship game and losing to Wyoming East, but I am so proud of both of them because the team lost 13 seniors last year and wasn't expected to make it out of sectionals this year...Brantz is only a sophomore. They really did do great.

But yes, I am just a geology test and multimedia class away from spring break--my other two classes on Thursday were cancelled, so I get to leave right after 303. I'm so ready to go home.

Revision Writing

I am going to have to add three pages for my revision project about my bedroom. On these pages, I am going to try and write about my family/friends/boyfriend, my hometown, and I'm not sure what the third page.

Most of the writing associated with this project will be descriptive...and the five pages from my first project are mainly descriptive writing. However, I don't want my site to be entirely descriptive so I might try to include some narrative or reflective writing as well. I think that it will be easy to do this if I am talking about the people in my life and not just my room in general.

Hopefully, I will be able to find a way to make all of the writing on my site flow together and not seem forced because I think my room kind of flows from area to area. I hope that I can find a way to include links to the different pages within the text.

Project 3

In my first project, I wrote about my bedroom. I don't have a final idea of what I want to do for this project, but I am considering a couple of different ideas pertaining to color/layout/information. I plan to have my website finished before I come back from spring break.

I am going to expand my website by talking more about my friends, family members, and probably boyfriend--even though it's a little cheesy. I'm going to include pictures of my space and probably the people I discuss on the site.

In my space I: sleep, relax, waste time, work, read, workout, watch TV, and eat. I pretty much live in my room.

Some keywords related to my space: bedroom, WVU, Champ, Logan, family.
Yep, that's about it.

I hope I did this the correct way. I used to have a blog through Xanga, but I stopped using it about a year ago.

This will pretty much do for the first post, I just want to make sure this works.
